Top 5 things to do after taking the vaccine

More than two million people have already received their first vaccine doses, but there’s still a long way to go.

Doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech shot are nearly ready for distribution in the first tranche of 2 million, and the Moderna vaccine won’t be done until the end of this month.

As the vaccine rollout moves ahead, some people have been encouraged to call it a day. But that certainly isn’t the case for Carrie Vand, who has been busy fulfilling orders since receiving her shot on December 15, which she says is a demonstration of the strength of her confidence and the neighborhood.

“I don’t feel that the vaccine is that big of a deal. I feel like it’s just something that we have to do. But during a time like this, Vand and other first responders can certainly attest to how strong of an ally their faith can be. “One thing I will always say with my faith, it acts like my armor. It guards me," she said.

Those first responders who administer the first vaccine shots will have a long day ahead of them, as well.

Here’s a look at some things to do after taking the vaccine in December:
